In this segment, Janeen Mason talks with Maestro Stewart Robertson. Grammy nominated Maestro Robertson is currently in his 10th season as Artistic Director and Conductor of the Atlantic Classical Orchestra. A native of Glasgow, Scotland, Robertson is a graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music. He has become particularly associated with the music of Mozart, Beethoven, and Benjamin Britten and he has conducted over 100 orchestral and operatic world premieres. He has held conducting posts with the New York City Opera, the Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Operas of Montreal, Detroit, Philadelphia, and Dusseldorf; the Norwegian National Opera, the Deutsche Opera am Rein, and Opera Ireland. He served as Artistic Director of Opera Omaha and Music Director of the Florida Grand Opera and for over two decades as the Music Director of the Glimmerglass Opera.
